The Carolina Panthers have announced their re-signing of Amini Silatolu on a 1 year contract. Carolina recruiting staff were reportedly pleased with the 28-year-old Offensive Guard's performance in a recent workout.
Amini Silatolu was born in San Francsico soon after his parents immigrated from Tonga in 1985.
Silatolu made 28 starts in 34 games as an Offensive Guard for Carolina from 2012 to 2015 before being signed by the Chicago Bears in 2016, but never played for Chicago as he was released before the 2016 season began.
Silatolu was part of the Panther's team who made it to the Superbowl last year. However, he missed out on the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl as he suffered a knee injury during that season.
