Two men charged with illegal liquor sale [1]

Two men have been charged with selling liquor without a license in Fanga. The bust is the latest of a series of raids conducted by Tonga Police over the last month.
A search warrant conducted by police in Fanga on Saturday uncovered 58 bottles of liquor. Police allege that the men aged 28 years and 26 years, were intending to sell the liqour without a license.
On 22 December, police conducted a raid on a bush allotment in Niutoua where they seized homebrew beer, cannabis plants and a firearm.
Last month on December 23, a 45-year-old man was arrested for selling liquor without a license at a shop in Lapaha. He possessed 2,794 cans and many bottles of liquor stocked at the back of his shop.
