Cheerful bands brighten up the festive season in Nuku'alofa [1]

Festive bands are spreading Christmas around Nuku’alofa this week, despite the hot weather.

The Tonga Police Brass Band and HMAF Royal Corps of Muscians performed in the CBD entertaining shoppers outside Molisi Tonga and Office Equipment.

The One Way Old Timers were at home at Hala Lelue to entertain Christmas shoppers.

The most colourful band around is the young Church of Tonga Havelu band, dressing matching red shirts, and playing at many places around the capital.

Meanwhile, people were busy in the CBD making last minute Christmas shopping trips -causing traffic jams and trying to find parking places.
