Queen of Tonga attends funeral of ‘Ahome'e [1]

The funeral of the Tongan Nobleman Hon. ‘Ahome‘’e was held on Saturday February 25 at Ha‘avakatolo village on Tongatapu.

On Saturday, morning his remains were taken to Ha‘avakatolo village to be carried on a catafalque to Nukuma‘anu Cemetery. The funeral procession was led by HRH Prince ‘Ulukalala Lavaka Ata, and the Police brass band, and the burial was attended by Queen Halaevalu Mata‘aho, the Prince Regent HRH Prince Tupouto‘a, Princess Siu‘’ilikutapu and other members of the royal family.

The family will hold five nights of traditional mourning this week for the deceased.
