Fantastic island fashion at Miss Heilala final judging event [1]

Island creations competition, Miss Heilala Pageant, 7 July 2016.

A show of fantastic island fashion wowed a full house at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall last night, during the final judging events of the Miss Heilala 2016 Pageant, before the crowning takes place tonight, Friday 8 July. 

The 10 contestants were dressed in their best "Island creation" during the South Pacific Evening, which is always a highlight of the Miss Heilala Pageant.

The top five in alphabetical order are:

  • Miss Appraxus New Zealand, 'Ana Falala
  • Miss Bou's Fashion, Vika Toetu'u
  • Miss Five Star Finances, 'Ofa Hui
  • Miss Loumaile Lodge - Laura Lauti
  • Miss Tourism Tonga - Michelle Motuliki

The night's entertainment included a special tau'olunga performed by the winner of the Miss Pre Teen contest, with items by the spectacular young dancers from Suliana Afeaki's dance academy, songs by soprano 'Atolomake accompanied by her sister Sisi'uno Helu on the piano, and items by the talented Joey Mataele.
