Five best dancers named in Miss Heilala Tau'olunga competition [1]

Tonga’s traditional dancing and costumes were on show at the Miss Heilala Tau’olunga competition last night, 5 July at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall in Nuku'alofa.
The top five dancers announced in random order were:
- Miss Appraxus New Zealand ‘Ana Falala,
- Miss Five Star Finances ‘Ofa Hui,
- Miss Havelu Rugby Polonia Paea Hoko,
- Miss Bou’s Fashion Vika Toetu’u
- Miss Loumaile Lodge Laura Lauti.
The 10 contestants wore beautiful traditional tau'olunga dance costumes made from natural fibres and fresh flowers and leaves.
The winner will be announced together with other judging events at the crowning of the new Miss Heilala on Friday night, 8 July.
The pageant continues on Thursday night, 7 July with the final judging events - the island creation, talent and sarong.
The Miss Heilala and community float parade in central Nuku’alofa will wrap up this week’s pageant on Saturday morning, 9 July.
