GPS Ma'ufanga, Family Month Annual Chanting Competition, 17 June 2016
Students from Lapaha Government Primary School won the 2016 Chant Competition to mark the "family month" of May, hosted by the Women and Children Crisis Center this afternoon, at Digicel Square in the CBD.

Energetic young students from eight Government Primary Schools competed under a theme, 'Peaceful and Happy Family at Home'.

GPS Lapaha received a $1,000 cash prize, followed by GPS 'Atele in second with $700, and Nuku’alofa GPS received $500 in third place.

Winners were also announced for best composition, won by Lapaha again and best costume went to GPS ‘Atele with Lapaha winning the best chant leader category.

Cheered on by teachers and families, the annual event was first held in 2012.
