Fifty-one graduates from the Queen Salote Institute of Nursing and Allied Health received their diplomas and certificates on Friday, 3 June, during a graduation ceremony at the Queen Salote College Hall in Nuku'alofa.

HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita presented the Diplomas of Nursing (Level 5) to 34 nurses, and Certificates in Environmental Health to six students who will now become health inspectors.

Eleven graduates received their Diplomas of Pharmacy (Level 5), the first program of its kind to be taught at the institute. They will take up their new positions as Assistant Pharmacists with the Ministry of Health.

The three year nursing diploma and other two year courses are taught at the insititute formerly known as the Queen Salote School of Nursing at Vaiola Hospital in Nuku'alofa. All three programs are acredited with the Tonga National Qualificatons and Accrediation Board (TNQAB).

The graduates are currently employed with the Ministry of Health.
