Bailed Noble faces assault charge [1]

An assault charge has been made against Lord Tu’iha’ateiho who was released on bail after being arrested Wednesday night for unlawful possession of ammunition (a bullet). Further charges have been laid.
The Acting Chief Superintendent of Police, Sisi Tonga said this afternoon the charges confirmed are unlawful possession of ammunition, assault, killing or maiming an animal, and causing a disturbance in Ha'ateiho.
The noble is expected to appear at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 9 May. He was released on bail yesterday evening Thursday, 5 May.
Lord Tu’iha’ateiho was arrested on Wednesday, 4 May at his home in Ha’ateiho, after a search warrant was executed.
He is the incumbent Ha’apai Noble's Representative to Parliament.
