Tupou College tops 2016 Inter-College Sports [1]

Tupou College has won the 92nd Tonga Inter-Collegiate Athletics Competition held on April 26-29 at Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium in Nuku’alofa.
 
The official results released on 4 May by the Sports Committee showed the all-boys boarding school dominating the medal count with a total of 76 medals, 37 gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze.

Tupou High School came in second 58 medals, 30 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze.

Third was all girls Queen Salote College with 60 medals, 23 gold, 25 silver and 12 bronze.

The Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga administrates all three secondary schools.

This is an important year for Tupou College because it will be celebrate it's 150th Anniversary of its establishment in June this year.
