A group of Tongan students performed for Princess Pilolevu Tuita during a visit by the Princess to Northcote College in Auckland, on 22 March.

North Shore Times reported the 94-member Northcote College Tongan group was made up of students from seven Shore schools, with the majority from Northcote College. They performed an item they did at the 2016 ASB Polyfest in Manukau.

The group’s choreographer Soane Tatuila-Pusiaki said performing for the princess was a rare honour and a great opportunity for the students.

"It's a once in a lifetime really. It's something that the kids can say when they're 80, I performed for the Tongan princess.”

Princess Pilolevu had initially attended the Polyfest final day on Saturday, 19 March.
