Royal Engagement for Lupepau'u and Mata'i'ulua [1]

Hon. Salote Lupepau‘u Tuita, Tonga’s Honorary Consul to China, was engaged to Mata‘i‘ulua Fusitu‘a, on 27 December.
Lupepau‘u, the eldest granddaughter of the King of Tonga, is the daughter of Hon. Tuita and Princess Pilolevu Tuita. Mata‘i‘ulua is the eldest son of Hon. Fusitu‘a and ‘Eseta Fusitu‘a. Ceremonies for the engagement were held in the morning at Mahinafekite, and a Ball, was held at The Villa, Mata-ki-‘Eua in the evening. The costume ball had an Arabian Nights theme, with a performance by the “Baghdad” dance troupe, and two entertainers from Tahiti.
The wedding ceremony will be held at the Centenary Church, Nuku‘alofa, on June 10, and the traditional feasts and events will run from June 4-15.
