Dear Editor,
I wish to extend my gratitude to the Hon. Minister of Finance for his courageous sharing with the public the economic outlook for Tonga and the serious situation that the government is facing, especially in rectifying the budget hole for the next financial year, more tendency to higher inflation and fighting the trade balance to ensure acceptable level of foreign reserve and local money supply.
Take my advice, start now and prioritize your next budget to ensure full effective and efficient utilizing next year...s budget and government resources to address this issue of "budget big hole...". Civil Servants must step up and improve their performances to optimize their key outputs and productivity. There is no time for mark around fellows unless if you want the government to go broke deliberately and visit Hell!! for sacrifice.
If the government goes into bankruptcy and the public loses absolutely their faith in its jurisdiction then what will be the next step? There will be no time for accusations, the law of the jungle will take over; there will be a chaotic transition for the survival of the fittest to remember. I guess that less than 5% of the population can escape from the transitional economic and social crisis that Tonga will face soon. If you have the chance to migrate, follow your instinct, for the sake of your immediate family. I never agreed with the situation of victimizing the innocents due to political unrest, political career endeavor and surely the whole situation transform into self-destructing of its own being.
Betrayed
Well done Politics! A country that has survived independently for 130 years, this is the outcome that we are waiting for! A man from Ha...apai said "I am betrayed by my own house (Kainga)". Education remains the direct function of good governance, good leadership and sustainable development. I urge you to study your situations properly from different perspectives and analyze to know the better decisions to make.
I agree that if the King knew that your political reform would serve the people to the best, he would have given up his power by now. But the King knows exactly that once he gives up his power, it's simple, everyone wants to be the leader and the entire Kingdom will be divided and we will be all back to square one. Well done!! again, and I suppose, the US Marines will arrive sooner later to reunify and settle the country and I know it will take so many years to restore your economy and to erase the bad memories that your heroic politicians introduced to the society. You better apply cost-benefit analysis on your right choice for Tonga now.
Not for self destruction
If you disagree with me, time will tell!! And I urge you to remember what I say to-day. Politics is meant to constructively criticize the situations for "enhancement" but not for "self-destruction". It is interesting to hear the introducing of "classless society" in Tonga nowadays. Of course everyone is exercising freedom to their own belongings and properties and the people should understand this concept when the communism evolved in Russia and other parts of the World. It is funny to apply these tactics in Tonga and I would not be astonished to see terrorism incidents and other political rivals to demonstrate human rights. Its "monkey politics", poor innocents and poor country and our loved ones and ancestors cry out loud from the graveyard for the unsettlement that Tonga is through ... people start tearing the flag, start questioning traditional values and cultures and even criticizing and denying key principles in the bible and churches and will follow and accept homo-sexuality, abortion and immoral values and practices of human rights sooner later... "malie ee!!!". I am convinced that this is the world of evil and money remains the root of all evil.
Your hope is hiding in your own motto, "God and Tonga are my Heritage". Believe it or not, adopt it!!
Cheers
