More than 400 graduates from three Government tertiary institutes received their certificates and diplomas today, 9 December during a Combined Awards Ceremony, at Queen Salote Memorial Hall.

The 19^th Awards Ceremony for Tonga Institute of Education (TIOE), Tonga Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) and Tonga Institute of Higher Education (TIHE) was held with Crown Princess Sinaitakala Tuku’aho as guest of honour.

TIHE awarded graduates with certificates and diplomas in media and journalism, accounting and information technology. While, diplomas in primary and secondary education were awarded to future teachers by TIOE.

Tonga Insitute of Science and Technology awarded their graduates certificates and diplomas in engineering and construction, agriculture with tourism and hospitality.

Last year, the three institutes produced around the same number of graduates.
