A $5,000 donation from the Nuku’alofa Club to the Sacred Heart Charity was presented by Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala to Father Francis on Friday evening, 20 November at the club.

Manager, Tali Folau Koto said that the Melbourne Cup Race day was annually marked at the club with fundraising through the sale of tickets and goods. "Traditionally the money made at the Club on that day is donated to a selected charity organisation, and this year it was the Sacred Heart Charity," he said.

Digicel Tonga topped up the donation with $1000.

At the presentation was the MC Lord Dalgety, Digicel CEO Ronan McGrane, and Father Clyde from the Catholic Church.
