A bedridden groom Tavake Losaki did not let his injury stop him from marrying his bride Lavinia Vaitohi on Thursday, 8 October at Vaiola Hospital’s Chapel among many families and friends.

The groom, a patient at the hospital, was reported to be one of the two drivers who were involved in a road crash in Pea earlier this week.

Kotoni Siale, the bride’s uncle, said the young couple had already set their wedding date for today and did not want to postpone it despite the groom’s hospitalisation after an accident.

The groom lives in Pea, Tongatapu while the bride from Kanokupolu came from Australia.
