Top three students from class 3 and 4, Lousiale Malakai, Melenau Vaka, Siueli Vakapuna, Fa’asu Angianga, Losaline Valeti and Sandy Falemaka

Six young students who topped the written examination in 'Eua’s soroban competition on Thursday, 10 September will represent ‘Eua Schools at the National Competition in Nuku’alofa next year.

The students are Siueli Vakapuna, Melenau Vaka and Lousiale Malakai of Class 3 and Sandy Falemaka, Losaline Valeti and Fa’asu Angianga of Class 4.

Angaha Government Primary School won the top school out of six that participated with 280 students from classes 3, 4 and 5 competing in the three categories of written examination, oral and flash.

'Eua's soroban competition concludes the 2015 regional soroban competitions in the outer islands and districts in Tongatapu before the National Competition in March 2016.

The competition is co-hosted annually by the Embassy of Japan and the Ministry of Education and Training since 2010.
