Liahona Alumni float parade attracts crowds [1]

A colourful float parade by Liahona High School Alumni was held on Friday, 3 July in central Nuku’alofa watched by hundreds of people as part of the Coronation celebrations this week.
People crowded along Hala Taufa’ahau to watch the parade, which featured Prince Ata sitting on a gold chair. Other colourful floats included Hawaiian hula dancers and Liahona Alumni from Tonga, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Secondary school brass bands from Liahona, Tonga High School, Queen Sāalote College and 'Apifo'ou College also joined in the fun.
Miss Heilala Cassandra Ngaluafe and the Miss Heilala contestants joined in the parade.
Nuku'alofa is currently in celebration mood for King Tupou VI's Coronation to be held tomorrow morning, Saturday 4 July, 10:00am at the Centenary Church.
