The 'One Tonga, Glorifying God in Song', brought together over 15 musical groups for a musical feast of praise on Sunday evening at the Queen Sālote Memorial Hall in Nuku'alofa.
The rich presentations by different choral groups filled the hall to capacity, as part of the Coronation celebrations in Tonga.
The annual event is organised by Robina Nakao, the CEO of Fexco Pacific and Western Union.
Large choral groups included the Fexco / Western Union choir, the S.U.T.T. Tu'atakilangi Youth Choir, Siasi 'o Tonga Haveluloto Youth Choir, First Assembly of God Nuku'alofa Youth choir, Seventh Day Adventist Youth, Tokaikolo Youth, the Fijian Community Choir and other choirs.
Performances by the Tonga Visual Impairment Association, the Wolfgram family from New Zealand with their singing group called BASIC, and Tan Zhen performing an operatic solo rendition of "What a Friend we have in Jesus" were warmly received by the audience.
Tupou Tertiary Choir gave a rousing rendition of 'Zadok the Priest', the choral item that will be performed by the Maopa Choir at the Coronation on July 4.
The event was attended by Queen Nanasipau’u and other members of Tonga's Royal Family.
