A new “Ladies and Gentlemen Clubhouse” was officially opened by Hon Frederica Filipe in Nuku‘alofa last night, 22 April.

According to Hon. Tu’iha’angana, the president of the club, the new club fills a gap felt since the closure of the men's-only Tonga Club and Nuku'alofa Yacht Club, a few years ago.

The Ladies and Gentlemen Clubhouse is a meeting place for members only and located in Taufa'ahau Road in the CBD.

One of the directors, Taunisia Fa said that already there is a computer room, and soon they would have restaurant.

Hon. Frederica officiated the opening of Tonga's first Ladies and Gentlemen Clubhouse by unveiling a plaque.
