Tonga A lose 30 – 28 to Samoa A [1]

Tonga A were narrowly defeated by Samoa 30 - 28 in their first game of the 2015 Pacific Challenge Cup.
Samoa A lead 15 – 0 within the first 12 minutes of the game. Tonga hit back with an unconverted try and two penalties and trailed at halftime 11 – 15. In the second half, both teams scored two tries.
The try scorers for Tonga were Frank Havea, Sosaia Palei and Fotu Lokotui. Penalties and tries were converted by Eddie Uele and Liueli Simote.
Captain Ratu Ma’afu was sin binned in the final minutes of the match for a ruck infringement.
The Fiji warriors also narrowly lost their opening match to the Pampas XV (Argentina) 22 - 20.
Tonga will play the tournament favourites Pampas XV this Saturday, March 14.
