Japan Vice-Minister visits Tonga [1]

A Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane arrived in Tonga today to further strengthen relations between Tonga and Japan.
He met with the Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva and discussed issues, including the Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM 7) that will be held in Japan in May this year.
The Minister also met Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukālala at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He is expected to visit the MV ‘Otuanga’ofa ferry gifted to Tonga by Japan and the local Japanese community, on Saturday February 21 before returning to Japan.
