Charity Ball raises over $8000 [1]

The Rotary Club of Nuku’alofa will be funding various projects with over $8,000 pa'anga raised during a Valentine Charity Ball on February 14, at Kahana Lagoon Resort.
The projects include the maintenance of the Fa’onelua Children’s Park Playground in Nuku'alofa, Keep Tonga Clean and Green campaign, Pacific Australia Cultural Exchange Program, renovation projects in Government Primary schools and other community projects.
The President Siosaia ‘Uta’atu welcomed guests who bid on auctions and won raffle prizes to raise the funds. The night collected a net $8,543 for the Rotary projects.
Rotary District Governor Iain Wakefield from Auckland attended the ball. Iain supervises and coordinates with all Rotary Clubs in Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Cook Islands and several other Pacific Islands.
