Trade qualifications for 100 students [1]

Over 100 students received certificates and diplomas in trades at a combined graduation ceremony for ‘Ahopanilolo Technical Institute and the Australian-Pacific Technical College (APTC) in Nuku'alofa today.
Around 70 students received their Australian standard trades and technology qualifications, including 20 who completed APTC's pilot program in Home and Aged Care offered at ‘Ahopanilolo.
The other graduates who had completed their studies at APTC campuses in Fiji, Vanuatu and Samoa received their Certificates and Diplomas in Children’s Services, Commercial Cookery, Disability, Community/Aged Care, Hospitality, Youth Work, Painting and Decorating and other courses.
'Ahopanilolo awarded 41 students Certificates in Commercial Cooking, Catering, Fashion and Design.
The qualifications and awards were presented by Bishop Soane Patita Paini Mafi, the Australian Deputy High Commissioner Scott McLennan and Sr Susan Keenan, at the Sir Sofele Kakala & Patelesio Hall in ‘Apifo’ou.
The Minister of Education and Training Hon Dr 'Ana Taufe'ulungaki, and the Director of Education 'Emeli Pouvalu were present at the ceremony.
