A Police Remembrance Day honouring police officers who passed away over the past year was held at the Tonga Police Headquarters in Longolongo today, September 29.

The prayer service remembered Senior Constable ‘Amanaki Kisina, Inspector Latu Lavaki and Senior Constable Siaosi Tu’ivailala who passed away during service and six retired officers.

The Minister of Police Sifa Tu’utafaiva, the Police Commissioner Grant O’Fee and New Zealand High Commissioner HE Mark Talbot attended the event with families.

The Police Remembrance Day is held annually on September 29 throughout Australasia.
