Secondary schools march with 'Music for Peace' [1]

A brass band marching contest was held in Nuku'alofa on Friday 18 July, ending a three-days Tonga Secondary Schools Brass Band Festival.

Nine schools participated in the festival held under a theme 'Music for Peace' aimed at bringing together schools and to encourage students to stop fighting.

The schools included Tonga High School, Tonga College, 'Apifo'ou College, Takuilau College, Queen Salote College, Tupou High School, Lavengamalie College, Tupou College and Mailefihi/Siu'ilikutapu College from Vava’u.

Organized by the Tonga Police Band and the Tonga Secondary Schools Brass Band Association, the festival was first held last year.
