Digicel Tonga launched its new 3G+ network at the opening of its renovated retail flagship store in Nuku'alofa this morning, 18 July.

Paul Stafford, Digicel Tonga CEO said 3G+ is a fast internet network for their mobile network in Tongatapu, Vava’u, Ha’apai and ‘Eua.

He said their newly renovated state-of-the-art store comes with a new range of handsets, smart phones and devices that are live where customers can browse through before choosing their purchase.

Justin Kaitapu, Digicel's Chief Technical Officer said gone are the days when you had to rush back to the office to check your email.

"With the 3G+ network customers will enjoy faster and reliable internet on their phones, tablets and laptops. It means internet usage is more efficient as speed deliver search results, downloads and uploads faster than ever before so we are pleased to bring this latest technology to the people of Tonga," he said.

Hon Fanetupouvava'u Tu'ivakano opened the store located at Digicel’s head office on Fatafehi Road.
