Float Parade concludes 2014 Heilala Festival [1]

A colourful float parade held on Saturday, 12 July concluded the 2014 Miss Heilala pageant.
As the colourful float parade slowly made its way from the Teufaiva Stadium to Vuna Wharf, hundreds of people crowded along Hala Taufa'ahau to watch the parade which featured the 2014-15 Miss Heilala, Cassandra Ngaluafe and the other 2014 Miss Heilala contestants.
The first prize of $1,000 for the Best Float was won by Miss FISA/MV ‘Otuanga’ofa, Sakae Tamoua. The second prize of $700 was won by Miss Super Cheap Tonga, Irene Hurrell and the third prize with a cash prize of $500 was won by Miss Lady Maria Australia, Nicole Naufahu.
Other floats included a colourful Chinese community float, which featured colourful dragons, and the Teufaiva's bodybuilders' float, featuring young body builders, flexing their muscles.
The prizes were donated by the Ports Authority, Tonga Print Ltd, the Public Enterprises and Hon. Simon Tu’ivakano who also joined the parade.
