One Tonga choral night glorifies God in song [1]

The One Tonga choral night filled the Queen Salote Memorial Hall with music last night, 8 June, as 13 singing groups from various Christian denominations presented “Glorifing God in Song.
The One Tonga choral night was hosted by the staff of Fexco/Western Union as a part of the Heilala Festival Week program.
One Tonga was launched in 2008, and the event has become very popular among singing groups, particularly youth groups. Singing groups were invited to participate, and there were no fees or prizes awarded.
An estimated 1000 people packed into the Hall to enjoy the choral singing, which consisted of 15 performances by 13 different groups.
Among the groups who were performing last night were: a Fexco/Western Union Choir, Tu‘atakilangi Free Wesleyan Church Youth Choir, a Seventh Day Adventist Choir, University of the Nations Choir, Tokaikolo Youth Choir, Sisu Ko e Fetu'ungingila Choir, a Church on the Rock Choir, a Bahai Youth Group and a Haveluloto Tonga Free Church Choir.
Last night was the first time for the event to be held at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall.
