Eleven families in four Hihifo villages are receiving help from the Red Cross after their homes were affected by flood waters caused by heavy rainfall last week, March 24 – 25.

According to assessment by the Tonga Red Cross Society “for all the villages, there was nothing more damages than just the water getting into the houses and therefore some of the beddings were wet including clothes and personal belongings.”

The affected villages were Fahefa, Nukunuku, Vaotu’u and Ha’alalo.
