Tonga A were outplayed by Argentinian side, the Pampas 47 – 20 yesterday March 19 in Sydney, Australia.  Tonga A scored three tries while the Pampas scored seven tries.

The game was Tonga A’s fourth game at the Pacific Rugby Cup and last chance to qualify for the grand final of the competition. Tonga A however will play for third place in the tournament this Sunday March 23 against the Fiji Warriors while the Pampas will face the Queensland Reds A team for the grand final of the tournament.

Tonga A scored first try of the match against the Pampas in the form of Full-Back 'Otulea Katoa, but trailed at half-time 5 – 20. In the Second-half Tonga A managed two tries in the form of backs, Sione Kite and Saia Palei but failed to stop Argentina from scoring more tries. The end result, 47 – 20.

Tonga A will play the Fiji Warriors for third place at the TG Milner stadium in Sydney this Sunday March 23.
