Parliament resumes March 24 [1]

The 2013 Session of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga will resume on Monday, March 24, 2014, after it was adjourned from October 24 last year.

The last sitting of the House was on Thursday, October 24, 2013.

Gloria Guttenbeil-Pole’o the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly said no date had been on when this session would be officially closed in Nuku'alofa.

The Legislative Assembly is expected to re-open for the 2014 Session normally around late May or early June to deliberate on the 2014-15 National Budget.
