Fuel Prices Lowered [1]

Fuel prices have been lowered, effective since Sunday February 16.
The Ministry of Commerce, Tourism & Labour advised yesterday, 19 February that the Tonga Competent Authority (TCA) approved the new fuel prices to be effective from February 16 to mid-March.
The changes saw a significant drop in fuel prices off-setting a large increase in fuel prices last month.
Kerosene and Diesel saw the biggest offset. Kerosene decreased by 6.72 Seniti per litre to a new price of $2.33 per litre, the price of Kerosene was originally $2.40 after an 8.93 seniti increase in December last year.
The retail price for Diesel decreased by 6.18 Seniti per litre to a new price of $2.94 per Litre, the price of Diesel was originally $3.00 Seniti per litre after a 7.37 Seniti increase last month.
The retail price for Petrol decreased by 1.19 Seniti per litre to a new price of $2.86 per Litre, the original price of Petrol was $2.88 seniti per litre after a 8.62 seniti increase last month.
