Cannabis accused released on bail [1]

Nakita Tu’itavake (51) of Kolomotu’a, who was charged earlier this month with possession of cannabis and ammunition, has been released on bail until March 10, after he appeared at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 17.

He was released on bail to appear on March 10. The adjournment of the case is to allow parties to prepare their documents for committal to the lower court.

Police arrested Nakita on February 6 after seizing 98 cannabis plants and seven .22 bullets during a raid at a tax allotment in Kolomotu’a.
