Police seize cannabis plants and ammunition at Kolomotu'a [1]

Police seized 98 cannabis plants and seven .22 bullets in a raid on a Kolomotu'a tax allotment last week.
A 51-year-old Kolomotu'a man has been charged with the possession of the cannabis and ammunition, after he was arrested on February 6.
Police carried out a search warrant at a tax allotment in Kolomotua where they found the plants were well grown, ranging from 2ft to 5ft tall.
During the search, police also found on the accused one .22 bullet, and after searching his home and vehicle, found six more .22 bullets.
The accused was released on bail today to appear at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court, on February 17.
