Tonga Power Limited announced that it has increased electricity tariffs for all island groups by a fraction of a seniti (0.39 seniti).

In a statment on February 3, Tonga Power said that the slight increase was due to the recent surge in fuel costs this year. The new prices have been effective since Saturday, February 1.

New electricity tariffs for all Island groups are now 93.21 seniti per kilowatt (up from 92.82 seniti).
