Piveni Piukala inquiry set for October 12 [1]

A Preliminary Inquiry of former Shoreline computer manager, Piveni Piukala, has been set to begin on October 12 after he appeared in the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court on July 11.

The Preliminary Inquiry was set for October 12 at the request of the prosecution who needed time to gather evidence and prepare for the case.

Piukala was represented in court by his counsel William Clive Edwards Sr.

Piukala is currently released on bail in relation to charges brought under the Computer Crimes Act after being arrested by the Tonga police on June 27 when he returned from Fiji to take part in a Heilala Golf Tournament.
