HE Mr. Huang Huaguang (57) is the new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Tonga.

He presented his Letter of Credentials to HM King Tupou VI at the Royal Palace on 17 December, accompanied by his wife Mrs Huang.

The new Ambassador has served in Beijing and at the Chinese Embassy in Italy. He succeeded the outgoing Chinese Ambassador HE Mr. Wang Donghua who left Tonga last month after competing a three-year term in Nuku'alofa.

“Today marks the continuing warm and cordial relations between Tonga and China,” stated Tonga’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
