Slight rise in Tongan fuel prices today [1]

A slight rise in fuel retail prices for mid-December 2013 to mid-January 2014, takes effect from today, the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism & Labour has announced.
Retail prices for petrol, kerosene and diesel have all increased. The price of Diesel increased from $2.91 seniti per litre to $2.92 seniti per litre. The price of kerosene increased from $2.30 seniti per litre to $2.31 seniti per litre. The most notable price increase was petrol. Petrol rose by more than 2 seniti, from $2.77 seniti to $2.79 seniti per litre.
The current increase comes after a month of fuel price reductions. From mid-November to mid-December fuel prices were significantly cheaper than that of preceding months.
Today's increase in in fuel prices was attributed to a weakening Tongan Pa’anga.

Wholesale: $2.63 Seniti per Litre
Diesel
Retail: $2.92 Seniti per Litre
Wholesale: $2.76 Seniti per Litre
Kerosene
Retail: $2.31 Seniti per Litre
Wholesale: 2.18 Seniti per Litre
The Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Labour also wished to notify the public of new prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
