Tonga High ex-students join happy parade to Royal Palace [1]

Ex-students of Tonga High School, going all the way back to its foundation year of 1947, joined in a happy parade through Nuku'alofa to the Royal Palace on the morning of Friday July 1, at the start of celebrations for the opening of the new Tonga High School Campus.
The high school, which has many prominent Tongans among its graduates over the years, was founded by HM King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV.
In the afternoon Tonga High School students joined students from other schools in a School's Day presentation for the King at the Royal Palace. They danced and presented traditional gifts as part of the King's 87th birthday celebrations.
