Cheaper fuel prices for December [1]
Monday, November 18, 2013 - 20:33
The government has announced significant reductions in fuel prices to be effective from November 16 to mid-December.
Wholesale and retail prices for Petroleum, Kerosene and Diesel have all decreased. New retail prices, including consumption tax, effective from November 16 are:
Petrol: $2.77 per litre (6.56 seniti reduction)
Kerosene: $2.30 per litre (4.09 seniti reduction)
Diesel: $2.91 per litre (2.58 seniti reduction)
Cheaper fuel prices have been attributed to less global demand for fuel and the increase of oil production in non-OPEC (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries) countries. The Tongan Pa’anga also appreciated against the US Dollar.
