Fisherman missing at Hufangalupe [1]

A 47-year-old fisherman from Popua has been reported missing for three-days since October 28 when he failed to return from a fishing trip at Hufangalupe Beach in Vaini, Tongatapu.

The Deputy Police Commissioner Lau‘aitu Tupouniua said they received the missing report at 9:45pm on Monday, October 28.

Police sent two expert divers who were able to recover some of his items. A search at the coastline continued, she said.
