Superintendent Lolesio Hausia who is charged with common assault had his case adjourned to Friday, October 18 at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court.

Magistrate Similoni Tu’akalau adjourned the case on October 11 for summary trial next Friday. He is alleged to have punched Viliami Fatafehi on August 23, 2013 at ‘Anana.

The accused is the Senior Commissioned Police Officer who remains suspended without pay for alleged involvement in corruption activity with criminals which is under police internal investigation. The common assault charge is unrelated to the matter under investigation.

He was suspended on August 22, 2013.
