Masked men assaulted woman shopkeeper and stole cash [1]

Three men who held up a retail store and assaulted a woman shopkeeper at Havelu on Saturday night, July 13 are being sought by Tonga Police.
The three men wearing masks entered the store and one used a chair to assault the woman on the head while the other two men took around $200 to $300 cash from the cashier. There were two Chinese women and one Tongan employee at the store when the robbery took place.
The Acting Police Commissioner ‘Unga Fa’aoa said the three male suspects remained at large in Tongatapu, but he expected that the Police would make an arrest soon.
He said the woman who sustained a head injury was taken to Vaiola Hospital for treatment and was released on the same night.
The Police Communication Centre received the report about the robbery after 10:00pm from the store.
