Soane, Lucy, Samu and Hudson

'Ikale Tahi Prop Soane Tonga‘uiha and his wife Lucy have prepared a 40ft container full of donated goods to be sent to Vaini Primary School this year.

According to the Daventry Express newspaper in the United Kingdom, the preparations by the Northampton Saint’s Star and his wife has been the culmination of a year and a half of hard work.

Soane’s brother, London Welsh centre Hudson Tonga‘uiha and fellow Northampton teammate Samu Manoa have also been giving a helping hand. Books, chairs, tables and other items are ready to be sent to Tonga

Soane said that he was grateful for the generosity shown by donors and the people of Northampton. He said that the amount of donations he received was so great he had to double the size of his original 20ft container and extend supplies to other primary schools.

Soane said “It’s going to go a long way and hopefully steer them in the right direction for their careers and in the future”.

The goods are expected to arrive to Tonga in three months, when Soane along with his wife and children are planning to be in Tonga to distribute the goods.
