Dr Vili Fuavao appointed to FAO Asia-Pacific post [1]

Dr Vili Fuavao will take up a new appointment as the Deputy Regional Representative for Asia and Pacific at the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, on 13 March 2013.

He has headed the FAO Sub Regional Office for the Pacific since it was established in Apia, in 1996.

Dr Fuavao started in his career as Lecturer at the University of the South Pacific in 1984, and later became the Head of the South Pacific Regional Environment Program SPREP from 1990 to 1996.

The new FAO Sub Regional representative for Apia will be Dr Gavin Lindsay Wall.
