Govt holidays start on December 21 [1]

Tonga Government offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holiday break from 8:30am Friday 21 December 2012 until resuming work on Wednesday 2 January 2013.

The official holiday period was approved by Cabinet last week.

Government offices will also close early at 4:00pm during the annual Prayer Week during the first week of January 2013.

The last day for government operation for this year is Thursday 20 December 2012.
