April was the wettest month so far this year on Tongatapu with 301.05 mm of rainfall recorded by the Meteorological Center at Tonga's Fua'amotu International Airport.

The rainfall for the past two months was, February 15.2mm, and March 144.0mm.

Meteorologist, Selusalema Vite, said that Tonga's rainy season ran from January, to March annually.

Last year in April Tongatapu had very little rain with a below average rainfall of 36.4 mm at Fua'amotu.
