Col. Fetu'utolu Tupou funeral set for April 22 [1]

The funeral of Tonga's Minister of Defence, Hon. Col. Fetu‘’utolu Tupou will take place tomorrow morning, Friday 22 April.

This evening his remains will be transported from the Vaiola Hospital Morgue to his residence at Pahu for the ‘Apo, the night of mourning, before his burial at the Takaunove cemetery tomorrow morning.

Tonga Defence Services headquarters, Sene, confirmed that visiting Tonga for the funeral was Colonel Nigel Lloyd, OBE, British Defence Advisor based in Wellington, New Zealand, Lt Col Patrick Reardon of the United States Defence Attache, and Brigadier Rhys Jones from the New Zealand Defence Force.

Hon. Fetu‘utolu died suddenly from heart failure at home on Saturday April 16 .
