Ha'apai PR admitted to hospital [1]

‘Uliti Uata (75), a People’s Representative to the Tongan Parliament was admitted to Vaiola Hospital on Monday and is waiting to be sent overseas for medical treatment, according to an official from Vaiola Hospital today, August 1.
'Uliti was reported to be in a reasonable condition following what has been described as a "minor stroke".
'Uliti has been a People's Representative for Ha'apai for 24 years, and an established Tongan businessman for over 40 years. He entered the new parliament in November 2010 representing the Ha’apai no. 12 Constituency.
'Uliti was Tonga's Minister of Health from January 2011 until his resignation in June this year to give his support to a motion for a vote of no confidence that ten People's Representatives tabled with the Speaker of the Tongan Parliament in early June.
The House has yet to vote on the Motion for a Vote of No Confidence on the Prime Minister.
Tomorrow, the nobles of Tongatapu and 'Eua will vote in a by-election to elect a new Nobles' Representative for 'Eua after the noble Lasike was removed from his seat following a conviction for the illegal possession of ammunition on July 9.
